Choosing Stationery Paper
With so many types of paper available, how do you decide what paper to use for your business' stationery? Here are a few basics to keep in mind.
For more advice feel free to contact us and we would be happy to give you some suggestions.
- Start with the basics. Letterhead is typically printed on uncoated, 24 pound stock. For business cards consider using a 80# uncoated cover stock that matches your letterhead stock.
- If your design contains photos or is a 4 color piece consider going with a coated stock for better print quantity and clarity.
- Make sure that the letterhead you choose is compatible with your office's printer.
- When choosing a paper color make sure it compliments your designs colors.
- Make sure that your design will be easy to read and understand on the paper that you choose.
- Before choosing a paper, ask for samples. We are happy to provide you with a variety of samples for any paper stock that you are thinking about using.
